Deltek Employee Expense

We have just started implementing Deltek's new web based product for expense report processing -- Deltek Employee Expense (DEE). This is a rebadged product from Necho Systems. The product looks very impressive and was even listed by CFO Online as a key player. We had the software installed on Friday (May 17th) and begin implementation consulting on Monday (May 20th). If you want to know more about our ROI analysis or why we went with this product, just post a comment with your email address. Stay tuned for updates! Screenshot here!

Web PO system for Costpoint

Alan Lash writes in describing his new web based purchase requisition and travel and expense processing systems. I have seen the Web PO system and it looks impressive! Alan writes: My company is a group of integration/web programmers who build integration products and custom web applications. We have been working on a contract for the last six months for a large company that uses Costpoint. They use Purchase Orders extensively throughout their entire organization, but only allow their accounting department to perform Costpoint operations...
Please click on "Read the rest of this article!" link below.

Thus their accounting department is stuck re-entering a lot of data for POs that have already been typed out by the employees requisitioning goods or services from vendors. My company has produced a Purchase Order system that every employee can use through their web browser. Employees fill out a requistion form with drop-down vendor, project and contact information coming directly from Cost Point. When they are finished entering data, they select an approver for the PO and submit the form. The approver receives an email with a link to the PO. On approving the PO, the employee receives an email allowing them to print the PO. Then, in a nightly batch, the program updates Cost Point automatically. This program substantially reduces the turnaround time for Purchase Orders, and completely eliminates the re-entry of data by the accounting department.

In addition to the PO system, we are currently engaged in developing a similar web based system to handle the entire Travel Request/Credit Card Charge Assignment/Expense Report/Audit Report lifecycle for this same company. Like the PO application this application retrieves information from Cost Point, and automatically updates the information to Cost Point in a nightly batch.

If anyone visiting this site is interested in the PO application or in the expense tracking system for their company, please contact me at alan.lash@NumberZoo.com
