Johnson Controls Federal Systems is looking for a Controller with Costpoint experience:

We are a nationwide provider of security systems design and deployment services, and recognized for our superior performance on diverse and noteworthy projects. We currently have a need for a Controller in our Gaithersburg, MD office.

The Controller will serve in a leadership role to:

* Manage all aspects of the general accounting functions for JCFS and subsidiaries to include general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, fixed assets and cash management as well as, the JCFS internal and external financial reporting requirements.
* Provide corporate guidance, expertise and interpretation related to GAAP, FAR and CAS. Develop and implement procedures to assure compliance with FAR cost regulations, CAS administration including Disclosure Statement amendments, and other proper controls related to FAR and CAS compliance.
* Submit all required indirect rate reports to the US Government and the DCAA.
* Provide guidance relating to classification and allocation of expenses to JCFS and its subsidiaries.
* Primary interface for JCFS with DCAA, Internal Audit, Corporate Accounting and independent external auditors to facilitate their reviews.
* Participate in development and review of all new pricing proposals.
* Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of corporate policies and procedures.
* Responsible for all sales tax, VAT and banking related policies, compliance and reporting.
* Drive continuous productivity improvements in the accounting department and the business


Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or business related field. Strong level of government accounting expertise including a thorough knowledge of FAR, CAS and GAAP, and experience dealing with DCAA. Eight or more years of related financial/accounting experience.

Desired Skills:
CPA, CMA or MBA. Strong hands- on knowledge of typical government contract accounting systems, and broad understanding of typical government contract business processes. Deltek/CostPoint experience highly desirable.
