SAIC is implementing Deltek Costpoint and Time and Expense across the enterprise beginning in fall 2007. The Costpoint Accounting Department, which this position manages, will be responsible for all centralized accounting operations of the Costpoint system as well as supporting and monitoring decentralized accounting functions.

SAIC is implementing Deltek Costpoint and Time and Expense across the enterprise beginning in fall 2007. The Costpoint Accounting Department, which this position manages, will be responsible for all centralized accounting operations of the Costpoint system as well as supporting and monitoring decentralized accounting functions. In addition to operating the system, the Costpoint Accounting Department will support the implementation of remaining business units and new acquisitions and have the responsibility for improving the system and business processes to optimize financial controls and efficiency. Supporting the implementation of the Costpoint system, along with the attendant change management, requires effective and proven leadership and communications. The functions included in the Costpoint Accounting Department include the following:
•General Ledger, including subperiod, month and yearend closes
•Account, Org, Pool, PAG maintenance
•Time and Expense
•Labor costing
•Fixed Assets
•Intercompany accounting
•Cash application
•System Reconciliations
•Provision of the Subject Matter Expert services to the line organization in all aspects of the system including:
oAccounts Receivable
oInventory Accounting
oProject Accounting
The successful candidate will have substantial experience managing an accounting department in a large Government contractor; professional services firm using the Costpoint system and possess proven leadership and excellent communication skills. Also the candidate should have experience with the coordination and the execution of the monthly/quarterly close process in Costpoint for a large decentralized organization.
Required Skills:
•5+ years of experience managing a team of accountants or financial professionals.
•2+ years of experience using the Costpoint system.
•An accounting or finance undergraduate and working knowledge of CAS, FAR, GAAP is required.
Desired Skills:
Publicly traded company experience, CPA or MBA is preferred.
Education:
•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related field) and 12+ years related accounting or corporate finance experience
