The Lead Business Systems Analyst will perform work across multiple business processes of high complexity, requiring integration and technical solutions. This individual will be responsible for the continued design, development and implementation of the government-compliant financial, procurement, and business systems for Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc.
HTSI currently uses a suite of applications to support the enterprise financial and business systems. The IT Lead will work closely with the Finance Organization on IT initiatives for finance that includes, but is not limited to product upgrades and enhancements, improving the integration of existing systems, and rolling-out IT solutions that add value to the business.
The successful candidate will be required to be knowledgeable on federal acquisition regulations (FAR), cost accounting standards (CAS), Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and business intelligence and financial systems. Expertise in Costpoint is essential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assessing customer needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to prioritize immediate business needs and recommends options, risks and costs vs. benefits.
- Leading the development and communication of business requirements to the IT community for the design and implementation of business solutions.
- Leading large, highly complex projects.
- Optimizing customer work processes through participation in business planning, needs analysis and business risk assessment by leading process redesign and consulting with users on how to best support the business through effective use of technology.
- Leading the decision of buy vs. build decision in all phases of the systems/applications development life cycle.
- Having a solid understanding of the customer's business processes, supporting applications, key drivers of success, and the short-term and long-term direction of their processes.
- Having a high level understanding of the overall IT applications architecture, business process reengineering skills and understanding of business modeling concepts using Six Sigma methodology.
- Being equally aligned with the customer's and I/S' success.
- Focusing on improving business processes at all times, not necessarily with technology implications; analyze impact of work practice change on a business function and systems supporting the business process to ensure site integration.
- Negotiating priorities with the IT organization to ensure customer short and long-term needs are met.
- Educating customers on the future direction of IT and the positive impact it will have on their business.
- Leading the development and delivery of customer training.
- Participating in the definition and negotiation of contract requirements with respect to both the master contract and individual statements of work.
- Monitoring day-to-day work resulting from supplier relationships, as well as any special projects that may arise as a result of changing business requirements.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Costpoint
Knowledge in FAR, CAS, and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance
Knowledge of Hyperion Planning and Essbase desirable
Must possess excellent communication skills
Education:
•Bachelor's/Master's degree in related field, specialized training or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
•7 or more years of relevant technical and business work experience. Requires Greenbelt and/or DFSS experience.
•Experience and in-depth knowledge of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts.
